New Features Coming in February

In early February, you'll find new features included in your Altru™ subscription designed to increase efficiency and add functionality.

The theme of this release is improving your constituent data!

  • Address Finder Integration: Address Finder is a subscription service that accepts a file of constituent names and addresses and quickly returns updated address information for any individual, family or business that has changed locations within the last four years, saving you mailing costs and ensuring compliance with US postal regulations. With Altru Release 4.1, once you have activated your Address Finder subscription, you will be able to submit and receive your database directly from within Altru – no import or export required!


  • Social Media: You can now save social media account information, such as handle and URL, in your constituent’s profile page. Once saved, the service’s icon appears on the contact tile. With one click, you can connect directly connect to the constituent’s social media profiles.


  • Online User Name: With Altru, constituents use their email address as their username to log into web forms. In the past, it has been difficult to update when a constituent has changed their email address. To make this easier, Altru users can now edit usernames for constituents.


  • Ticketing: Online Combinations: In November’s release, we introduced the feature to allow you to create web forms for ticket combinations! We have now further enhanced that feature. These include creating custom acknowledgement emails for combinations purchased online and allowing patrons to purchase a combination at multiple times in one transaction.


  • Merchandise Feature Improvements: This release makes it easier to manage merchandise costs and prices and configure and manage taxes.


  • Recurring Gift Improvements: With Altru Release 4.1, we made significant enhancements to help you grow your revenue from recurring gifts. These include a redesigned gift record with an intuitive at-a-glance view, a comprehensive activity timeline, the ability to skip installments, write-off improvements and updates to payment methods. There is also a new process that allows you to update multiple recurring gift statuses at one time.
