Blackbaud ID MFA Requirement For Blackbaud Tuition Management™ And Blackbaud Financial Aid Management™

We have an important announcement about an upcoming multi-factor authentication (MFA) requirement for school users accessing Blackbaud Tuition Management™ and Blackbaud Financial Aid Management.™At Blackbaud, we take the protection of your data very seriously, and we understand that the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of your data is vital to your organization.

Beginning in October, Blackbaud will require school users accessing Tuition Management and Financial Aid Management to enable multi-factor authentication (MFA) on their Blackbaud ID accounts.

What is MFA and why is Blackbaud requiring it?

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) requires a user to successfully enter two or more factors to prove their identity when signing in to gain access to your solution and data. In addition to their Blackbaud ID username and password, users will be required to enter a unique, time-based, one-time code accessed on a secondary device.

We are proactively making this change, following industry-standard security measures, to help safeguard your organization and your data.

When is this happening?

Blackbaud will begin to require MFA for school users accessing Tuition Management and Financial Aid Management in October 2023.

Users can act now and enable MFA on their Blackbaud ID ahead of the October requirement.
