The latest release of Financial Edge NXT includes a ton of cool new features! To begin with, we continued adding attachment functionality to records in Financial Edge NXT. With this release, you can now add attachments to vendors, projects, and grants.

We also made enhancements batch attachments. You can now add attachments directly from the Add a batch form as you create new batches. Previously, you could add attachments only from the Attachments tile on an existing batch. For more information about attachments, see Attachments.

We also added the ability to export the Invoices list to an Excel .xlsx file. To export the Invoices list, select Export to excel from the toolbar. Keep in mind, before you export, you can use list filters and the column chooser to create a customized list of invoices.

Record a bank draft
Another great new feature with this release is the ability to record a bank draft to pay an approved, unpaid invoice in Financial Edge NXT. At times, you may have payments that are automatically drafted from your bank, such as a monthly utility payment. You can now record a bank draft payment for an invoice that reflects the automatic withdrawal amount.

Previously, you could only record a bank draft to pay an invoice in the database view. For more information about bank drafts, see Record Bank Draft

Reporting
With this release, we made enhancements to Reporting in an effort improve your experience as you work with reports. These enhancements include:
  • We added an export option to the context menu in the Reports list. Previously, you could export only from the report view.
  • When viewing a report, you can now select Zoom in and Zoom out to customize your report view.
  • To edit report parameters, you can now select the report name in the Report column to access the Edit report screen. Previously, when you selected the report name, the report would run.
  • You can now select Save as on the Edit report parameters form regardless of your security rights. This is helpful if you don't have rights to edit a report, but want to use an existing report to create a new report.
  • We added the ability to delete multiple reports at once. Over time the report parameters you save may become invalid or no longer needed. You can now easily delete multiple reports from the Reports list all at once. To delete multiple reports, mark the checkboxes next to the reports and select Delete reports. You can also mark the checkbox at the top of the list to select all reports in the list at one time. When you delete a report, you completely remove it from the web view and database view. Keep in mind, you can delete only the reports to which you have security rights.
