Entering dates in the Journal Entry grid
We recently received questions from you regarding date formats in the Journal Entry grid, so I thought I’d share a few best practices.

Currently, when entering date fields manually, you must use slashes to separate the month, day, and year. For example, 7/15/22, 7/15/2022, 07/15/22, 07/15/2022 are all acceptable formats.

However, if you enter same date as 07152022 or 071522, the field will not accept the date when you tab out of the cell.

TIP: When entering dates for the current month, you can simply enter the day value to auto-populate the current month and year. This is a good way to enter dates into the grid quickly. For example, to populate the 15th of July, enter 15 and TAB.

I am so glad the ability to just enter the day and have the current month year populate was fixed in the date field. I didn't realize how much I used it until it wasn't working. ?
