In-Person Workshops: Learn How to Build a Power BI Report or Power Automate App

Published

Join Blackbaud and Microsoft experts to learn about the possibilities open to you with the Microsoft Power Platform. You'll receive personal coaching as you build either your own Power Automate App or a Power BI report and connect them to your Blackbaud data and products.

We are excited to offer these unique in-person Power Platform workshop in four locations in 2024:

In this hands-on workshop, you learn by doing! We offer two learning tracks:

Power Automate

Learn how to use Power Automate to extend Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT® by building a data integration and automation that "lives inside" your Blackbaud product for a seamless user experience. By the end of the day, you'll have built an app that helps automate fundraiser requests for receiving credit on a gift. This includes handling approval steps and how to circumvent potential technical roadblocks that may arise when automating data health tasks.

For this course, we will use a Raiser's Edge NXT developer environment, which will be provided to you. We design the course so that power users of other Blackbaud systems—Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT®, Blackbaud's education management products, Blackbaud Altru®, or Blackbaud CRM™—will learn transferrable skills.

Power BI

Learn the foundations of building reports in Microsoft Power BI, how to connect and model your Blackbaud data with Power BI reporting using Microsoft Power Automate, and how to publish your reports and embed them in your Blackbaud application with SKY Developer tools.

For this course, we will use Raiser's Edge NXT and CSV files as the source data sets, which will be provided to you. Power users of Financial Edge NXT, Blackbaud's education management products, Altru, or Blackbaud CRM will learn transferrable skills.

But wait, there's more...

Meet your peers, network, and get great ideas for more automation and app projects you can build for your organization using Microsoft Power Platform.
