New Year Payroll Processing Tips

The end of the year is quickly approaching and it's time to start preparing for next year’s payroll processing: 

• Add new pay schedules for 2019 (be sure to use the same Schedule IDs!) 

• Copy existing pay schedules  

• Create any new pay types  

• Globally add or expire pay types, deductions and benefits  

• Change a deduction, compensation, benefit, or give a raise using the change compensation wizard   

• Make any needed historic entries 

• **Add/Update Tax tables once all your 2018 payrolls have been completed 

** Note: As a best practice, add the 2019 tax tables after installing the Financial Edge end-of-year patch, patch 27.  If your database is hosted by Blackbaud, this will be installed in early January.
