Published
We have posted a few blogs already about 1099s, W2s and ACA Forms.  I wanted to share some quick tips and tricks about using Aatrix in general.  This could apply to 1099s, W2s or any other tax form you may be printing from Financial Edge, but I would first recommend reading some informaiton on What is Aatrix and why does it integrate with The Financial Edge?

1. If you have The Financial Edge installed locally, there may be additional steps you need to take in order to ensure a successful install and update of Aatrix.
  1. If you have User Account Control (UAC) turned on, it is recommended to have this turned off.  Detailed steps on how to do this can be found in KB Article 44890.
  2. Ensure all permissions for The Financial Edge and Aatrix are set up correctly using hte following links:
    1. Financial Edge Permissions
    2. Aatrix Permissions
  3. When running The Financial Edge, right click on the Financial Edge icon and select "Run as Administrator."
  4. Ensure you have correct permissions inside of Financial Edge in order to access the appropriate area:
    1. In Accounts Payable, 1099s are accessed by going to Mail > Forms > 1099s Forms. The rights listed in KB Article 45355 are required.
    2. In Payroll, W2s and other tax forms are acces by going to Mail > State and Federal Tax Reports and selecting the apporpriate section. The rights listed in KB Article 44437 are required.
2. If you make any changes inside the preparer grid for W2s, 1099s or ACA forms, this will not update any information inside of Financial Edge.  It is always recommended to makes changes inside Financial Edge so the changes will move forward to Aatrix.

3. If you have alignment issues, Aatrix has a very easy to use form alignment tool which is explained in this Aatrix Knowledgebase article.

4. If you have further questions, chat with a Financial Edge analyst now.

Please keep an eye on this post as it will be updated as additional tips and tricks are gathered from users.
