It’s Triple Crown season! It’s the most exciting time of year for all of us horse-racing fans. The Triple Crown consists of three thoroughbred horse races: the Kentucky Derby, the Preakness Stakes, and the Belmont Stakes. In its 140-year history only 12 horses have won all three races to take the Triple Crown. This year another horse, Justify, has a chance at the crown having already won the first two races. In a tradition started by my grandfather, my family will place our $2 bets and gather together to watch the dramatic race unfold.
