File Curation in Education Management Suite- Is there an alternative?

I was wondering if anyone ‘on the boards’ has some wisdom that might help me. Administrators are wondering if there is an agile and secure way for them to access sensitive files in the Education Management Suite? They'd like to be able to access and upload things like test files, academic warnings, certain letters to parents, etc.

I have two questions: 1) Is there any way to give access to Admin. Assistants for example so that they may use ‘bulk upload’ to add files to students in the cases added above without giving them Platform Manager rights. 2) If there are no easy answers to Question 1…is there an ad hoc program that works with Education Management Suite to help navigate the ‘unwieldy’ file sharing options currently available in CORE?

Thanks for all your help.

I love having this space to share and learn. :)

@Kevin Wood or @Jeff Gaier - Do one of you know the answer to this?

  • @Jim Vaughn for the first part of your question, you may be able to use ‘official notes’ for some types of documents or notes. Not sure if that will take care of all your needs. Microsoft OneDrive could be used to create shared folders and add only individuals who can view those documents. For the second part, you could clone the platform manager role and then assign the cloned role to the assistant administrators.
