Entering Gifts in a batch

Hi all,

I'm new to eTapestry, but has used other CRM and other Blackbaud products such as RE Next before.

I was wondering how can we add gifts in a batch in eTap? I used this feature a lot in RE Next but can't figure out how in eTap.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

    Hello Sharon!


    eTapestry does not have a batch processing option. Instead, gifts would be added in the Journal on the account using these steps: https://kb.blackbaud.com/articles/Article/107358. If you have multiple gifts to add to different existing accounts there is also an option under Giving > Add a Gift or Pledge. If they are all for the same amount or same campaign or have other similar info you can add defaults and get through it more quickly. You would first fill out any of the info that is the same for each gift, then click "Set as Quick Entry Default" at the bottom. Then those fields will keep those values as you add each gift and you will only need to fill in the Account and any other info that varies from gift to gift.

    I am in the same boat as you ...3rd day with E-Tap having come from RE7...struggling a little :-)

    Looks like there is no Batch but I was wondering  if for existing "accounts" rather than adding gifts one by one via journal if it is feasible to create a spreadsheet of gifts and import to E-Tap..how does it do it's matching in E-tap if I include record ID in SS can it import to correct record. Is there a gift import template somewhere? Any help gratefully received :-)

    So I found out the best way for me to do something similar to batch is to do a gift import.
