resource for field element examples

Hi All, I apologize if this is the wrong place for asking this question or if I am being too confusing.

I am developing a business process integration using Brightvine's data Link for our BB CRM environment. I am wanting to get some specific data in the configuration form for BVDL. I wanted to know where can I get a listing or show of example fields a nd their format for edit forms? Brightvine Data Link has a configuration form that you can enter what ever details are necessary like api user names and passwords, other types of configuration options that you can save in the db that way you don't have to rebuild the integration.

I am sure this is already known, but in case I am using the wrong language, I wanted to explain what I am doing.

my specific need is I now how to add text fields, to the configuration form, is it possible to add a combobox drop down menu for a date picker and time picker? or something like that? I could just add text fields, but then I would have to deal with the potential of users entering wrong data into the fields. If I have to use text fields this is fine, but I thought I'd ask.
