Hello to those of us in the Community who enjoy the just for fun category! Everyone's holiday questions inspired me to keep the “getting to know each” during the holiday season going so, for the next four days, I'll post a question of the day.
Today's question is ……what percent are you homebody versus explorer/traveler?

70% Homebody - love my firepit, cozy blankets, the sound of my family coming home through the front door
30% Explorer - 2023 trips are already booked (Caribbean and Universal Studios). 2024 travel goal is Iceland.

@Elizabeth Perron - I'd say it's 60% homebody for me and 40% traveler. I've done extensive traveling before we had kids, so i feel like I got a lot of that out of my system before we “settled down”

@Elizabeth Perron In the last couple of years 80% homebody. I do like to travel and would like to do so again in the future.

Now a days, 75% homebody and 25% explorer. The pandemic really didn't help things, in terms of getting out of the house. I am working back towards traveling more in the future.

I am 80% homebody and 20% explorer on any given day. I like to sightsee and explore new places and go on trips. I will get out of the house faster for trips than hiking or walking. But I LOVE A NAP. Yes, I still nap on the weekends. My kids growing up knew if I was taking a nap, no one dared to wake me up. I am still that way.1 -

I think I'm 50/50. Most of the time, I just want to remain indoors and hang out with my family. But I do like checking out new places. We're big theme-parkers. Tokyo Disney and Universal are bucket-listers for me. One day.2 -
@Elizabeth Perron I'm 100% a traveler. Even when I'm home, I want to be out exploring!

@Elizabeth Perron 80% homebody, especially over the last couple of years. But, I've started planning explorations in our state - there are a lot of parks that we haven't been to. And, for 2023, I have a state park pass - so, hopefully, we'll get to explore more nearby.
My bucket-list travels would be to Ireland and, maybe Alaska.

As much as I enjoy visiting places and learning about them while being there, I think I'm about 80% homebody because it just so much effort to fling myself onto other parts of the planet ?

@Elizabeth Perron I'm probably 75% homebody, 25% explorer- with little kids and pandemic restrictions it has perversely made me want to get out more, but I do also like to not go anywhere.

@Elizabeth Perron I'm about 50/50. As much as I love being comfy cozy at home I equally love exploring new places, trying new foods and meeting new people. The last couple of years have been slanted towards staying home and I'm aiming for more travel in 2023 to rebalance the scale.

Oh dear, I'm about 95% homebody and 5% explorer. I can count the times I've been out of state on one hand (if you don't count business trips). I DO so want to visit the Great Lakes and Giant Sequoia trees someday, but that's only because I love nature, and not because I love travel. ? Although, my sister-in-law was just showing me the cutest treehouse cabins in Eureka Springs … that's going to have to be a future anniversary trip!

@Elizabeth Perron I'm probably 60% homebody and 40% explorer. We mostly went on small, local trips for the past few years, but started branching out a bit by going to Disney World in 2022 and New Orleans planned for 2023.

@Elizabeth Perron, I'm probably 80% homebody (the famous quote rings true for me - “There's no place like home” LOL) and 20% nature explorer.
This is probably due to living on a horse farm growing up (in a woods) so I was always outside. When we went anywhere, it was usually on horseback.
Also due to my husband not knowing how to rest and taking me everywhere with him. Husband + Me = Worn out

@Elizabeth Perron 50 - 50 for me. When I'm home, I'm home. However when I'm out or on vacation, I want to see it all and do as much as possible.

@Elizabeth Perron Fun question! I used to be much less of a homebody. However the pandemic seems to have made me much more comfortable being home and I now find that I need to push myself to get out and about.
I do love being outdoors for walks and hikes. I also really do enjoy myself when I'm meeting friends for coffee, etc.. But I think my “out & about” muscles need more strengthening after so much time at home these past few years!
That being said, I am super excited at the prospect of bbcon in person in Denver. That will be a real adventure!
