Pranks

I'm not totally sure what made me think of this, but something popped in my head that hadn't in years.

At one of my prior jobs, a co-worker and I had an ongoing prank-battle. Nothing malicious. Very simple, lighthearted pranks that we could both have a good laugh about.

One of my favorites was to send him an email with a serious subject line, like ‘Urgent Input Needed’ or ‘Do You Have That Report (REDACTED) Asked For.’ But then the only body contents of the email would be a strange photo I found online. I'd hear him audibly shout, but then laugh, as the gag was fully unexpected (at first). I'd do this every so often - maybe once a quarter, just to keep a sense of safety before being blasted. Even after I left that job, I'd still email him every so often for a good year afterward in a similar manner.

Anybody here have some favorite pranks, gags, or laughs you've shared with co-workers or pals?

The photo, for reference, would vary between one of these:

@Bobby Steurer, One of my colleagues and I have a mutual friend who sends random texts that don't always make logical sense. (We can usually parse out what he's trying to say, but not always!) In response, my colleague sends him a text with one of the fortune cookie messages he saves for this purpose. And the friend usually replies with “Oh, very wise" or “I never thought of it that way.”

Our entire office is usually involved. Right now we have tiny sheep that appear in random places of the office. A few months ago it was tiny turtle erasers marching across the floor as everyone arrived for work. My favorite was the squawking rubber chicken that traveled across the office, decorated the reception area for awhile, and eventually disappeared after a stint in the library lounge.
