What’s New for Enrollment Management Contracts: February 2021 Edition

Published

The Enrollment management team has made a number of changes and quality of life updates to contracts. Here's a rundown of all the new stuff that has been arriving over the past few months.

Contracts are one of the pillars of Enrollment management, along with other topics like Admissions, Financial Aid, and Student Checklists. Considering the importance of contracts to EMS, we’re always working to improve them and ensure they’re feature rich to provide schools with a robust and easy to use system.

With that said, we’re deep into Contract Season for most Enrollment management schools, so many of you may already be well aware of the following updates. Over the past few months, the EMS team has continually been adding to and improving our contract solutions.

So here’s a roundup of all the newest and latest updates to Contracts and related areas.
  • Back in November, we released Contract Labels under the Manage contract forms section of Enrollment management. Selecting this will open a new modal that allows you to choose how the word "contract" displays to your responsible signers. Keep in mind that you can’t enter more than 25 characters.
  • Contracts can now be set up to pass hidden tuition and required fees without showing to the responsible signer. You can do this through Tuition management, Enrollment management, or Billing management.
  • We’ve added the ability to perform a contract counter signature by applying an image, printed signature, or both to contracts allowing schools to add the counter signature at processing. This signature will be applied at processing and anyone printing a contract will now see that signature.
  • Contract types and forms can now be archived by admissions managers. This can be done from the Contract Form settings and then selecting Yes under the Archive option.
  • Introducing the Contract auto process. Essentially, contracts can now be auto-processed if they do not have an associated in school payment. Keep in mind that auto processed contracts will still show in the process history.
  • You’ll find new financial aid placeholders in both official notes and mail merge.
  • List updates! We’ve recently added new financial aid type and financial aid filters and columns for use on the Contract list, Candidates for Review list, and Candidates list.
  • If a Fee is added to a non-integrated contract after it is generated but before a parent views it, the fee now displays on the contract print.
Of course, if you’re looking for more details on the Enrollment management product or our contracts, make sure to visit our online help center. We have a robust section on Enrollment contracts, deposits, responsible signers and plenty more.

That’s going to do it for this week but make sure to come back next week as we dive into a completely new feature set to launch for Enrollment management. See you then!
