Q3 Raiser's Edge NXT Quarterly Roadmap Recap

This is such an exciting, but busy time of year, and every minute of your day is precious!  If you were unable to join us live for the Q3 RE NXT Roadmap session, read on for a quick preview of what was discussed below.  There are some really exciting new features and even more great things coming your way, so if possible, I encourage you to try to work in some time to review the full 55 minute session to hear directly from our Blackbaud Products team.

• SKY Reporting
  • 2017 Q4 - Report Builder Early Adaptor Program (in EAP), many releases still to come
  • Q4 - improved refresh of data, will be more often that 4 times a day
  • Q4 - basic List export (you asked and we listened)
  • 2018 Q1 - General Availability (GA) of Report Builder
  • 2018 Q1 - Pledge dashboards
  • Future - more canned reports
• Add & edit relationship records (GA)
• Add & edit constituents
  • 2017 Q4 - Add new constituent (individual & organizations) with duplicate detection; manage name formats; promote relationship record to constituent; additional gender codes
  • 2018 Q1 - Field configuration (setting required and hidden fields); manage aliases; store credit card and bank info on constituent record directly
• Enhancements of Identity & Access management
  • Today - two-step authentication - get text message code for additional layer of authentication
  • 2017 Q4 - GA of Single Sign On (SSO) - use your organizational identity providers to access Raiser's Edge NXT
• Enhancements of SKY API
  • 2017 Q4 - Workato connector updates & fundraiser management API
  • 2018 Q1 - Gmail add-in (EAP), Gift API (GA), Volunteer API (Beta)
  • Beyond - Gmail add-in (GA), Add-ins: custom tiles, custom tabs, custom buttons
• Email
  • 2017 Q4 - Will start EAP for next gen email with drag and drop email designer, image library, constituent merge fields, send now or later capabilities, send to Constituent List, and ability to monitor performance
  • 2018 Q1 - Start from a template, use your own HTML, sequenced email campaigns (plus the above)
• Online Donation Forms
  • Bringing these natively into web view with a similar look and feel to email.  Things to look forward to are drag-and-drop capabilities, use of newly supported by Blackbaud features such as Apple Pay, Mastercard Masterpass, and Visa Checkout
• Back Office Gift Entry
  • 2017 Q4 - EAP for one-time gift entry with features such as Recent Appeals to assist with day entry and real-time credit card and direct debit processing (just pull up the constituent record as they are on the phone and process the donation right then).  Batch entry EAP also scheduled to start.
  • 2018 Q1 - GA of above with expected enhancements, including a whole new work flow for recurring gifts (fully automated!!).  Batch entry GA scheduled.
  • Future - Excel based grid based batch import entry
• Gift API
  • If you are accepting gifts elsewhere, we are working on the gift API to get those into RE NXT
  • Check out the Developer Portal if you want to take a look at the Gift Beta that exists today
• Communication Preferences
  • In accordance with GDPR, we are globally releasing new features for consent to record opt-ins and opt-outs
• Acknowledgements
  • Working with the email functionality that we spoke about earlier, we are excited to get into the world of acknowledgements in the web view.
