What's New In Raiser's Edge NXT The Week of January 28

Published

This week, Raiser's Edge NXT includes an enhancement for those with online registration forms. For some, it also includes new fields and settings for deceased individuals.

aa4c2848f091ad6fc5d484512123f4e7-huge-olClose an online registration form (for those with online registration forms). When you no longer want people to register for an event online, you can now close the registration form and display a message in its place. Previously, you removed the form from your website. From an event record, under Online registration forms, edit an existing form or create a new one. Under Get Started, select Close registration on specific date, and then select the date and time and enter a message.

For more information, see Online Registration Form Get Started.

Update constituent and widowed spouse  information for deceased individuals (for some). To help prioritize fundraising efforts and avoid awkward interactions, you can mark a constituent or related contact as deceased when they pass away.

On a constituent record, select Mark as, Deceased to update information for an individual. Under Obituary, you can now attach a file, such as a PDF of the constituent's obituary. You can also change a widow or widower to a constituent and choose their affiliation with your organization and any start and end dates as necessary. For more information, see Deceased Individuals

Also, to ensure consistency throughout your database, admins can now set rules for how Raiser's Edge NXT should handle constituent records, and the records of their spouses, when you mark a person as deceased. For more information, see Deceased Individuals Settings

Hi @Kerry Drysdale! Thanks for asking about online registration forms.

We're currently working on adding multi-person registration functionality and then we will resume rolling out online registration forms internationally. This requires some development work, so our tentative ETA is to start the rollout to customers in the Q1 2024.

Jumping onto some of the other comments about Online Registration Forms - do you have another wave of additions planned? It would be ideal for us to have the form feature on NXT as our Events team is looking to move exclusively to NXT Events.

Hi Roz Lake - If you have the announcement about online registration forms in your what's new, you should have it available in your account. To create an online registration form, navigate to Events, and open an event record. Under Online registration forms, select Add form. If you follow these instructions and still don't see the option, I recommend you open a Support case to have someone investigate further.

Hi, When will the Online Registration Forms be available to use in the UK please?  I have the announcement in my 'Whats New' feed but I do not have the function under Events, I have no drop down, which is where I presume it would be?
Maybe this is a weird thing to be excited about but I am looking forward to the new Deceased Individuals Settings!
Hi Philip Nawrocki and  Erica Loewe - We're planning another large wave next week. If you don't see the announcement about it in your What's New (in product) on February 11th, send me a message and I'll check with the Product Manager to see if we can enable it in your accounts.

When will online registration forms be released to the entire RENXT community?
Any more information about the online registration form? Is there a place to see this in action or actual try it out?
