Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT® Online Donation Forms Launch In The UK

Today we’re excited to announce the general availability of Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT® online donation forms for UK customers, making this functionality available for all Raiser’s Edge NXT customers globally! We’re delighted to offer you even more ways to increase revenue, by easily accepting and processing gifts from your organisation’s website.

Raiser’s Edge NXT donation forms are now available in the UK, meaning you can easily accept and process gifts from your organisation's website. Using web view, you can quickly design, build, and embed donation forms straight into your website using automatically generated code snippets.

What’s new with Raiser's Edge NXT donation forms?

You can now easily create online forms to embed onto your website using the donation form drag-and-drop designer. Choose from a variety of payment methods to offer your donors, including one-off and recurring credit and debit card payment options.

Give your donors control by allowing them to designate their gifts across multiple funds and easily setup the donation form to allow donors to dedicate a gift in honour or memory of a loved one. Over 50% of global customers using donation forms are already using this new feature!

You can also nurture donor relationships by designing and sending branded emails to thank them for their donation. Gain further insights into donor behaviour by viewing website referrals to donation forms with our integration with Google Analytics, to help inform you which channels are most effective for donor acquisition.

We’ve worked closely with HMRC (the UK government’s revenue and customs body) to ensure that we’re following current best practice guidance for online donations when it comes to Gift Aid – therefore, declarations start on the date the gift was made (rather than four-years back).

Most UK donors should have had the opportunity to sign a Gift Aid declaration in the past, so this will have a small impact on retrospective Gift Aid revenue. Further, through testing with our early adopters, there has been strong evidence that donors are more likely to sign a Gift Aid declaration when it starts on the gift date, compared to a four-year back-dated Gift Aid declaration. So this is likely to drive higher opt-in rates and increase your Gift aid revenue.

What’s next?

We’re not stopping there. Next for online giving, we will be introducing digital wallets as well as direct debits as further payment methods for recurring donations.

To help you raise even more, we will provide reports that show your top performing donation forms, and also prompt donors to consider a recurring gift, as opposed to a one-time gift.

You can find out even more about recent and future feature releases in last week’s Raiser’s Edge NXT Product Update Briefing for EMEA Customers (please note, you must be registered and logged into the bbcon event hub to view on demand sessions).
