K–12 90-Minute Academics Courses Tour - Part 1

Blackbaud University is hard at work making it easier than ever for you to get the product training you need. You don’t expect your students to sit through a three-hour class period, and now you don’t have to either. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be taking you on a 5-part tour of 10 new 90-minute K12 Academics courses. Let’s get started!

Welcome to the Registrar’s Office! Phones are ringing, new students are waiting, parents are asking questions, and school personnel are buzzing in and out with various updates throughout the school day. The office is the hub of every school, complete with endless stacks of schedules and never-ending enrollments.

One of the more daunting functions of the Registrar’s Office is courses! How do we determine the courses we want to offer? Better yet, how do we create them?

In Academic Courses - Creation, learn how to create the perfect academic course, complete with individual sections. This class explores initial department and course settings and provides guidance on how to manage course membership. If academic courses are a litmus test for school success, then this class is a cheat sheet that all schools need!

In Course Requests, prepare to build the perfect school schedule by learning the ins and outs of academic course parameters and offerings. Course requests can be confusing and performed by many roles, so we've created a class that provides an in-depth look at entering, approving, and reporting on requests for your school.

On our next tour, we’ll visit the true heart of any school—the classroom. Check back Thursday (Feb. 27) as we announce more K12 Academics courses in this 5-part tour!
