Blackbaud University is hard at work making it easier than ever for you to get the product training you need. You don’t expect your students to sit through a three-hour class period, and now you don’t have to either. We are approaching the second stop on our tour of 10 new 90-minute K–12 Academics courses.

Classrooms are the nucleus of our schools: the crème-de-le-crème, the main event, the place where all the magic really happens! As educators (learning magicians) build, manage, monitor, and assess their respective schools and classrooms, it’s important they have every possible tip and trick in their teaching top hats.

In Academic Courses - Content, learn how to use academic course tools to share course information online. Explore Topics and Bulletin Boards, and understand how to communicate and generate reports using the tools on the Roster page. Hopefully, these tricks will save a ton of time … and even more paper!

In Assignments and Rubrics, learn how to create and manage online assignments, administer assessments, and facilitate student discussions. Explore the ins and outs of grading rubrics and annotation tools to efficiently critique and evaluate student submissions … just like magic!

In Gradebooks, learn how to manage every aspect of the online gradebook. Within the administrator role, configure the initial setup for gradebooks and understand ongoing oversight. Within the teacher role, learn how to manage individual gradebook settings and record grades. Within both roles, generate a variety of reports and ensure that your bag of tricks is always in great shape!
