The Blackbaud K–12 Advisory Board has long been a cornerstone of collaboration, innovation, and shared purpose in the educational sector. With 19 diverse schools now represented—spanning secular, non-secular, boarding, and non-boarding institutions from across the U.S. and Canada—the board exemplifies a commitment to partnership and inclusivity. Together, this collective of educators and leaders has consistently worked to ensure Blackbaud’s tools meet the evolving needs of teachers, families, and students.As we reflect on the accomplishments of the past and embrace the promise of the future, it is with immense gratitude and optimism that we welcome Austin Ewachiw as the new Executive Director of the Blackbaud K–12 Advisory Board.

This sense of unity was on full display during the December retreat at Blackbaud’s headquarters in Charleston, SC, where representatives gathered for 2.5 days of robust discussions, strategic planning, and fellowship. From brainstorming innovations like the Common Records Engine to Shark Tank presentations, the retreat underscored the board’s unique blend of hard work and camaraderie..

With Austin Ewachiw stepping into the role of Executive Director, I am excited about the future possibilities. Austin brings a wealth of experience, vision, and a collaborative spirit that aligns seamlessly with the board’s mission. His leadership and the addition of the newest class of stellar advisors marks the beginning of a new chapter, one that builds upon our strong foundation while exploring innovative pathways to better support K–12 education.As Austin assumes this vital role, the board remains committed to its mission: empowering schools to harness the full potential of Blackbaud’s solutions to drive success for educators, students, and families.
