The improvements to the Gift Service Center guarantee a smooth, secure, and easy experience for donors, which is crucial for keeping their loyalty and dedication to your mission.

Additionally, administrators who make updates on a donor’s behalf in the ‘Sustaining Gifts’ tab within Donation Management in Luminate Online now leverage the same PCI v4-compliant secure modal checkout when updating credit card information, ensuring consistent security and user experience across both donor-facing and administrative updates.

New APIs and Checkout Options

Our new APIs improve transaction processing for online fundraising. They support the latest payment processing methods, allowing you to tailor donation processes to your organization's needs.
The new APIs enhance the checkout process for recurring gifts and direct bank debits.
New methods allow logged-in users to update their credit card info for recurring gifts using a secure token, while another ensures all necessary values are provided when updating payment info, maintaining data integrity. We've also provided a method to process direct bank debits through ACH and ACSS with legacy merchant accounts.

PCI Compliance Deadline

The full requirements of PCI 4.0 take effect on March 31, 2025. Your organization will have its own audit date. To ensure your organization is ready, update all of your payment forms before your PCI audit date. Be aware that to ensure that Blackbaud is compliant before Blackbaud’s audit, we will enforce ALL payment processing by running an Auto-Compliance Migration Script beginning May 1st within Luminate Online & TeamRaiser. By implementing these features now, you can ensure that your systems are compliant ahead of the deadline.

One major addition that’s coming is the support for Embedded Checkout in TeamRaiser Registration Forms. While the registration forms will be unchanged, organizations will have the option to use Embedded Checkout as the payment processing method instead of the previously available Modal option. This provides greater flexibility in how payments are handled during registration, allowing for a more seamless and integrated experience for participants.

Additionally, we are introducing support for Canadian ACS Direct Debit. This feature will allow Canadian donors to set up direct debit payments within BBMS, offering them more flexibility and convenience. By expanding payment options, you can cater to a wider audience and potentially increase your donor base.
