Community Happenings: A Fond Farewell!
Happy New Year, favorite Community!
Before I share the latest happenings, I want to share some personal news with you all. At the end of this week, I’m leaving Blackbaud.
While I am sad to leave, my heart is even sadder to leave this Community since I have gained so much from the people here (that’s you by the way).
Every time you celebrated a victory, I cheered for you. Each time you shared your lives, my heart sang. When you commented on my profile or blogs, I smiled. Every Selfie with Shannon or hug at bbcon kept me motivated. Every single person here made me want to be better and do better for the Community.
Why? I’ve come to deeply respect what our members and customers do. You are trying to change the world for the better and you do it with a gung-ho passion and attitude that is unmatched. Or at least you try.
It has been my sincere pleasure being one of the Blackbaud Community Managers and watch this community grow. Your Community Team has always pushed to keep the Community experience centered on YOU and will do so long after I'm gone.
Keep going, keep changing the world, and know I'm in your corner cheering and advocating for you. I'm leaving a community of super heroes behind and I can't wait to see what else you all do.

I was holding off on posting until She was gone, but here goes. Hoping I don't short out my laptop with my tears, uh I mean sports drink. Yeah, a manly sports drink. For those of you that don't know, Shannon has trained both Elizabeth and I for roughly the past 3 months. And it's been awesome. Absolutely awesome. She and Crystal Bruce are absolutely amazing (as you all seem to know). And now our little herd of four goes down to an odd number.
I'm fine. Totally fine. If I just keep saying I'm fine, you'll all believe me, right? Well I'm fine.
