It Takes a Community: 90,000 members and growing

The Blackbaud Community hit 90,000+ members last week.  As a small but might Community Manager team of three, my heart skipped a beat.  How can we make sure our members feel like they are part of the Community?  Sure, we have our welcome email, our member search that shows the newest members that have joined and our Ninjas who won't let any new member go without getting a friend request, but how do we spread good vibes and encourage our members to engage and become part of the Community?

Then Ray Bergman reminded me...... before we reached 90,000 members we had our fantastic 89,999 members to engage and welcome the new 90,000th member.  I breathed an audible sigh of relief.  Thank goodness for the peer to peer support and encouragement you give each other!

Were you able to complete all the activities in 60 seconds?

I wasn't.

My 60 second timer went off.  I was closer to five minutes, because I got intrigued by the profile photo and ended up reading their profile information, including the bios.  However, I don't mind the extra time.  We have such inspirational people in this community!

We appreciate you all for keeping the Community Active and Healthy for everyone!

In harmony,
Elizabeth
