Executive Assistant vs. Database Administrator?

I have been in my current position of EA for almost 5 years with the unofficial title of DBA. We converted to RE in July of 2019 and they are looking at changing my position to full time DBA. There are only 4 of us in the office, I cannot decide if this reorganization is a good thing for me or not. I would appreciate any and all feedback. Thank you!

    DBA sounds better. Executive Assistant sounds like a glorified  admin role.

    Hi, 

    Congrats on being offered the new role! Some questions to think about:

    Where do you see yourself in the future?

    Is this an org you want to stay with? 

    Will this move help you in the long run?

    Do you want to be a DBA? 

    Will an new Exec Assistant be hired? 

    Is there a pay raise included?

    Is there budget for training/continuing education? 

    What are the hours and workload? Can you work from home?

    If you are looking to move away from an admin role then a DBA position might be for you. 

    Being a DBA does put you in a niche.
