Multiple funds tied to an event? how?

We had a question and have been sent this article - which is helpful because we know any gifts given in a Campaign will go to what we designated it for:


But we were wondering about a possible solution to this as we are thinking ahead: We thought about the possibility of having ONE large virtual event, vs our typical 3+... but we have multiple events because we have multiple campuses and would like each persons to go to the intended campus but for that event. Is the only way to split these "funds" be to have different campaigns for each campus? but could tie each campaign to the event? Or can an event only have one campaign?  I know we could just alter these in RE when we post the gifts to their accounts but it'd be alot of manual work so we were just curious.

    One big virtual event sounds interesting and fun! :) And a great way to help donors with virtual event fatigue. 


    I have a few thoughts, but let me first clear up some terminology. I will use RE Campaign to refer to the gift record in RENXT. I will use JG Campaign to refer to the Blackbaud Peer-to-Peer Fundraising™, powered by JustGiving™ , which has its own URL and generally represents a marketing effort/a place to send your peer to peer volunteer fundraisers (those who want to fundraise on your behalf.)


    Based on what I understand, you could set this up for your organization like this: 

    1) Set up a JG campaign for campus1, then in RENXT in the integration, settings override, set the appropriate RE Campaign, Fund, and Appeal. (Most likely the RE Fund will represent campus1)

    2) Set up a JG campaign for campus2, then in RENXT in the integration>settings override, set the appropriate RE Campaign, Fund, and Appeal. (Most likely the RE fund will represent campus2)

    3) repeat the above pattern for campus3

    You would now have 3 separate JG campaigns to send volunteer fundraisers to sign up to fundraise for a specific campus or donate to a specific campus.


    As for the events, all of these JG campaigns can be associated with the same JG event. Please keep in mind the Blackbaud Peer-to-Peer Fundraising™, powered by JustGiving™ does not have the ability to "sell" event tickets. (ie: I pay $100 and I now have access to this virtual concert.) The JGRENXT integration only integrates constituent and gift records, there is not a connection between a JG event and a RENXT event.
