What is keeping you sane during work from home?
For me, it has been working in our yard, working on knitting projects, and focusing on new mindful health practices.

6:30am walks, looking at flowers, taking a deep breath, knowing this too will pass2

My immediate answers are cooking and baking! Proud to say that in all the days we've been home bound (from now since 3/13), we've only ordered takeout ONE time - and that was for my birthday. Saved us so much money, I hate to admit because I'd frequent local restaurants everyDAY if I could. I've never utilized my cookware as much OR looked through my cookbooks (vintage and modern) as much. My husband took leave without pay from his job and I have been working from home. Getting into the kitchen has kept me sane.1

Tell ya what, I've been listening to a ton of podcasts. I normally only get to listen on commutes to/from work, but since WFH, I've been able to catch up with everything! I just pop 'em on in the background.2

Exercise!! ?? I get to do it more frequently and I am loving it!
Like Bobby, I am listening to more podcasts as well - great working companions. ?2 -
I need to up my exercise game!!! BUT it has been like an oven this summer! No excuses though as I work from home one day a week. As of July 2 our museum reopened. And at least that has gotten me out of the house Thursdays through Sundays. My weekend being Monday and Tuesdays now. Adapting!
I obviously check stuff here on my weekends. But baking is still somewhat keeping me insane and Netflix and Amazon Fire.0 -
I've tried out a lot of new recipes. I was walking before but now its too hot. I'm doing Zumba gold from Amazon prime video.0

I've always been a hang out at home kind of person outside of working hours, so that hasn't changed too much and the current times have meant that there are a lot of lectures and concerts and things I can attend via various online means.
During the working day though, the daily morning chat with my team has been great - especially to hear what we've all been up to over the weekend, what tasks we have planned for the rest of the day and if anything has gone on with our other colleagues. Also, for that in-the-office feeling, I turn on the "Calm Office" sound generator from myNoise to help keep me focused - I've spent too much of my life working in noisy classrooms and offices that it's tricky for me to work in the quiet!
Sometimes I might mix it up with Spaceship noise generator though ?1 -
Weird as it may seem, paranormal investigation is what's keeping me sane right now! And crafting. Lots of crafting.2

Lots of reading, binge watching tv and crafting. After watching Youtube videos of paint pouring I tried my hand at that and am obsessed. It's fun to combine the colors and very relaxing to watch the paint move around. Then I started painting and upcycling items for garden art which has been a lot of fun.1

Crystal Bruce Mostly here in Texas right now. One was featured recently on "Portals to Hell," called Haunted Hill House in Mineral Wells. Just did Presidio la Bahia (site of the Goliad Massacre) last Friday. We go live on our Facebook page every Friday (if you're interested in watching).

I'm gonna need that link, too, Sharon Sandberg . ;-)
Sort of related but not really, but do you all keep up with any urban exploration/abandoned places on YouTube or the like? They sometimes delve into paranormal, but even when they don't, it's equally unsettling (and fun!)2 -

I will have to look into them. Recently I've spent a lot of time at the one that I mentioned that was featured on Portals to Hell. In one weekend I was scratched twice, and something left a burning mark on me (looked like a thumbprint). Last weekend I got scratched again, but this looked different than the other ones. It was crazy!

The latest Netlix binge for me (and it isn't too long - a sorta two part series - hour and a half each) is the SINATRA documentary. Hate him or love him at all kinds of levels, you'll learn something from this really well done doc. The Kennedy connection really surprised me. And the way the doc is done has many many interviews with prominent folk, but instead of showing any of them talking (unless it is Frank himself being interviewed) to the camera, they just continue with footage ... sometimes with that person or to show an historical moment in his life. Really neat. Netflix dox have definitely held my interest lately - since yes, as mentioned above it is REALLY TOO HOT right now to walk!!0
