Spring Has Sprung - Almost!

Can you believe it? Spring is just 3 days away!!! Many of you have had a long, hard, grueling Winter. For me, in South Florida, Winter wasn't any different than Fall or Spring.

What kind of Winter did you have? Are you glad it's over? Do you get rouge snowstorms in March and April? (thinking back to my NJ days)

What is Spring like where you live? What are you most looking forward to? My favorite part of the season is listening to the birds chirping and singing and watching them build their nests!

It is the most wonderful time of year here in Charleston!! It's getting close to azalea season - the whole area comes alive with pinks!

I LOVE Azaleas! I do believe that one of my on-site trainings at Blackbaud way back in the day was during azalea season! Beautiful!

  • Crystal Bruce‍ great picture!!!
  • We are not yet quite into real Spring where I am here in northern California... we are in fake Spring - where one day it can be 70 degrees (aka 21 degrees C) out, clear and sunny, and the next day it's dropped back down to 40 (aka 8 degrees C) and is rainy and cloudy all day. My roses are fooled this year, but my fruit and nut trees are not, and are waiting to bloom until real Spring.

  • Florida is my bucketlist move, Patti. I think I've seen enough winters. Over it now. Ha.

We pretty much skip Spring here in Louisville, KY. We'll get a bit of that type of weather/scenery, but then it launches immediately into humid summers.

Think I'm most looking forward to redoing our landscaping, upping the health of our grass, and clearing up space out back for our daughter to play around when she starts walking. I'm shoes off/sandals almost all season, so looking forward to that, too.

Ditto the shoes off - most of the time!! Especially with working from home during COvid!

  • Charleston has been pretty warm so far! it's been early to mid-70s here. The winter was cold for us, but not nearly as bad for y'all up north! It's already beach time?
  • Winter was cold. Spring has been fickle as usual here in Charleston. Warm for a few days to fool you into thinking Spring has sprung, then going back to cooler temps. I am tired of wearing my two "new" winter sweaters that I bought online during Black Friday, so I really hope Spring has sprung for good this time.

Just for fun, I threw papaya seeds in my yard last week. I'll let you know in a few months if they have grown or been frosted out!
