My question is how to generate a tribute notification letter that includes the name of the person who made the tribute. I’ve followed the instructions in the documentation and online and I can’t get it to work.

I think I am understanding you correctly… The Tribute Type and Tribute are fields to be added into the newly created letter. It would look like this:

    Current Date

    Long Salutation

    Address

    City, State Postal Code

    Dear Short Salutation,

Thank you for your gift ofReceivedto the Sisters of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary. As you have requested, your gift will be placed Tribute TypeTribute.

  • Hi Karen,

Thank you so much for your suggestion. I'm actually looking for a letter to go to the tributee informing them that someone has made a gift in their honor. For example,

    [Current Date]

    [Long Salutation]

    [Full Address]

    Dear [Tributee],

We wanted you to know that we received a gift in your honor today from [First Name] [Last Name].

    Sincerely,

    Mary Fran Miklitsch

I cannot figure any way to do this with a query and correspondence. I'm really surprised this doesn't exist as gifts in honor of or in memory of a person or persons are so common.

Again, I really appreciate your suggestion.

    Mary Fran
