Early Internet Memories
So, I guess in the grand scheme of time, this isn't super early Internet, but it is early YouTube and that counts in my mind.
Remember the song “Chocolate Rain?” It kind of blew up in the early days of YouTube. For whatever reason, it's been stuck in my head all morning. When a song gets stuck in my head, I have to listen to it 40-50 million times before it goes away.
Anyway, do you have any fun/funny/wacky early Internet memories? My earliest is probably getting into all sorts of trouble in AOL chat rooms. I remember going into some WWF ones when I was, like, 12 and getting into arguments with grown adults about whether The Rock could beat Stone Cold.

Oh my! These are so fun!
I think I was about 13 when we got our fist internet into the house. I still have the sound of the "fax dial ring" in my head that our computer would make whenever it connected to the internet over the phone lines.
For me, it's not so much Youtube that takes me back. It's the Saturday morning cartoon series “Reboot” that came alongside the popularization of internet access. As its name implies, it's all about the life of living computer programs as they battle viruses amidst the dangerous internet portals.
I showed this series to my own young kids, and now every time we talk about our computer antivirus program, they call it “Bob”. ?

@Faith Murray Faith, I'm assuming we're around the same age, and you wouldn't believe how big the “Reboot community” is for people amongst our age group. I guess that show had a lasting impression. I remember it being slightly terrifying re: the faces? Lol.
