Glennon - I like this statement found at About – Together Rising “…we are proving that small gifts can change the word…” This is a power statement reminding me that we can can make a difference in the world.
Simu - I didn't realize he is also a writer and a producer.

I also did not know that Glennon Doyle founded Together Rising. I guess I never put two and two together!

I just found out Simu is going to be in the new Barbie movie along with Clare from Derry Girls. I'm thinking I might have to see this movie after all.
I also forgot that Glennon was the writer behind the momastery blog. I saw lots of people post quotes from there when my kiddo was younger but I didn't realize it was her blog.1 -
@Crystal Bruce Well I found out something very important about Mr. Liu. He's on the cover of Men's Health and he's in great shape. Also, he's Canadian!

Did anyone see Simu on Celebrity Jeopardy this week? He was losing badly to Andy Richter but pulled off the win with the Final Jeopardy question. Hoping Jeopardy taping doesn't conflict with his BBCon schedule! ?

@Crystal Bruce I learned that Together Rising is an all woman-led non profit (which I think is very cool)

I learned Glennon is married to Abby Wambach. I love soccer and was going to college in Rochester, NY (where Abby is from) when she was really starting to be a major player in women's soccer internationally.

I loved Simu in Shang-Chi and I love the story of how he got the role. But I didn't know that he has a memoir and I'd love to read it. I didn't know anything about Glennon and everything I found out makes her seem super cool. Looking forward to hearing them both speak.

I learned that Glennon Doyle was a teacher in Northern Virginia.
For Simu Liu-that he was in fact in Nakita. I wasn't quite sure until I read a biography.

@Crystal Bruce I had no idea Glennon Doyle had a podcast. New subscription here I come ? As for Simu Liu, I love action movies, especially by Marvel and did not know that he was nominated for the Critics Choice Award.

I learned that Liu worked at Deloitte as an accountant before he pursued a career as an actor and stuntman. I learned that Doyle was once a teacher in Northern Virginia.1 -

@Crystal Bruce I didn't know anything about Glennon Doyle, but I am super intrigued now. I did learn that “We can do hard things!” is something she says. That's always been my mantra while hiking so glad for the connection.
I learned that Simu Liu has a memoir coming out that I can not wait to read! Loved his talk!
