Tips & Tricks for Conferences

Talk to people! It's really intimidating to be in a room full of strangers but the fact is, a LOT of folks are at bbcon by themselves. We're all peers so it's ok to say hi. Ask if you can sit in an open seat at meals. Talk to the vendors - that's literally why they spent money to be there (also, the swag is there for you to take)! Participate in the Q&A during sessions or take down the speaker's info and message them later.

If there's a social component in the app, join in the conversation. Even just posting comments you found interesting from the keynote of session you're in is really helpful for others who have missed it.
