Denver Airport News

Hi everyone, apparently Denver's airport is undergoing some construction in the terminal(s) and on the runways right now and delays are happening. I've also been told to expect much longer lines/delays for going through security these days. So now you know too!

@Heather MacKenzie thank you for sharing this very important information!

  • @Heather MacKenzie The lines for security at DIA are taking longer than you might expect. I've found that getting to DIA 2 hours before has always been sufficient. The lines will look very long and daunting, but they actually move quite fast.
A tip from a local: if you're flying out of Concourse A, walk over the bridge to the Bridge Security. It's often much shorter. Then you just take the escalator down to your gate. You can also use this security if you're flying out of B or C. You just have to take the escalator down to the train then take the train over. This option may not be much faster.

I recommend taking the A Line train to the airport from Union Station. If you're checking bags, there is a bag check on the train platform, just to the right of the escalators. They will check bags for I think all airlines. No extra charge. Tipping is appreciated.
