Just a tip for Seattle
Don't forget that if you have a membership to a local science, art, cultural museum or botanical garden or zoo, you can often use your membership to visit museums in other cities. 
I take Swedish classes through the Swedish AMerican Museum in Chicago, and have a membership there, even though I live in Maine. That membership gets me into the Nordic Musuem in Seattle!
This is one of those things I forget about often, and for this trip I have gathered all my different memberships together with the reciprocity lists, so in my free time I can visit some of the museums.

@Amy Barker thanks for the links! Also, if you are fortunate enough to call yourself a Senior, like me, and have a Senior National Park Pass, or have visiting all National Parks on your bucket list, there are three near Seattle if you've allowed extra time pre or post bbcon!

@Amy Barker And while not a national park, the Ballard Locks are free and right next to the free botanical gardens, located in a neighborhood north of downtown. Definitely worth hopping onto a bus or taking a rideshare, especially if the weather is nice - you can bring a picnic and watch the various boats/ships go through the locks.
