I've been to Seattle twice in my lifetime, and two of my favorite stops are Pike Place Market and ,of course, the ORIGINAL Starbucks! If you're going for the first time, what are you looking forward to (besides the amazing experience that is bbcon!)? If you've been to Seattle, what do you recommend for the newbies?

    @Patti Hommes Unfortunately I can't go this year, but I used to live in Seattle. The Ballard locks is free, next to the botanical gardens (posted link on another post). My favorite place to go if I want a water view for brunch, lunch/dinner, happy hour is Ray's Cafe - the sunsets are beautiful!

    @Dana Smith sadly, I won't be there this year either. The new dates conflict with one of our major fundraisers. I do want to revisit sometime, though!

    I was in Seattle for the first time in March for the PEAK Grantmaking conference. I loved going to the Fish Market. So many vendors! I am looking forward to visiting the first Starbucks again, herbs/seasonings shop, bookstore, and candle shop.

    @Patti Hommes oh no - I thought you would be there! Maybe next year will work out better for you. Thanks for starting this thread! I've not been to Seattle before and will add this to my calendar to check it out again the week before I go so I can see what I should check out!

    @Patti Hommes there are a ton of amazing museums/galleries. The two I visited in January are the Chihuly Garden and Glass (https://www.chihulygardenandglass.com/) and the Museum of Pop Culture (https://www.mopop.org/). Both are near the Space Needle.
