Hello Schools,

Are there any schools in Toronto that have experience with adding donation options to their billing management site.

Can you let me know how it works and what works well and what does not,

What did you do to make it work well for you?

Any information is greatly appreciated.

    @Kathy Dimas we are also in the exploring stage. There are 2 functions you could use for this in TM:

    • Shopping Cart
      • Allows active families to pick and choose specific items that are then applied to their account as fees
      • 3 payment options:
        • Pay Now: This allows the parent to enter a payment method and pay right away
        • Phone Payment: This allows parents to purchase the item by calling the parent line at 888-868-8828 and making a payment over the phone
        • Mail-in Payment: This adds the item to their account and allows the parents to view the invoice and make a payment with their next billing cycle
    • Buy Now/Give Now
      • Independent of TM - can't add charges to a family's account
      • No TM login needed
      • Buy Now is one-time purchases
      • Give Now allows one-time and recurring purchases
      • Not sure how this works, but "once an item group is created … system will auto-generate a link that can be embedded into an email"
