PowerUp Challenge: Second Web View Query Task
Please answer task #1 before answering.
One of the exciting new capabilities of Query in web view is asynchronous export! The next time you need to export a query, use asynchronous export via the Context Menu on the main Query page. This capability allows exports to download directly into your browser’s downloads folder. When exporting from the main Query page, the export will process in the background and notify you upon completion. Then tell us here how it enhanced your productivity.

@Crystal Bruce I love to be able to export the data. It seems to go fast, but my queries are small. This may make a big impact on larger data queries.
Note: When you export queries from the query list, exports run asynchronously in the background.

@Crystal Bruce The export went super fast and is readily available.

@Crystal Bruce One of the best features of the web query is to be able to add in one “pasting” more than 500 of one of items to the criteria.

@Crystal Bruce
Awesome! no more waiting for the export to finish (especially for those BIG exports).1 -
@Crystal Bruce makes sharing outputs so easy, and feeding the data into existing models we have established (need to get more involved with the dash boards!)

Seems to work well. I'm curious whether it still has the same issue as exporting the results of a query in DB view. In that it will duplicate results based on the criteria or output fields. And therefore, I'll still need to use the actual export feature when exporting those kinds of queries.0 -
@Crystal Bruce Similar to @Niranjan Balachandran I don't often use the output from the query directly, but for cases where it might make sense or if there is an output that other users can just go back to and export quickly it is great to not have to click into the query to get the export option.

@Crystal Bruce It definitely is quicker and easier and especially to show colleagues who are less savvy and can handle it and has increased our learning curve with those employees

@Crystal Bruce Ooo, that's nice! It wasn't real obvious to find, but now that I know it's there I like it!

@Crystal Bruce It is super fast and will be good for quick data check queries but looking forward to being able to be more selective in the output criteria selection and my export did produce duplicate lines despite selecting supress duplicates

@Crystal Bruce Nice feature! Easy to use.

@Crystal Bruce It was tricky to find at first but now I will be using it!

@Crystal Bruce Easy to use and super useful!

@Crystal Bruce Single click exporting is much, much more efficient than in DBV. We export frequently then analyze data further in Excel. The asynchronous export makes the front part of our process much faster and easier.

@Anna Rubin where did you find it?

@Crystal Bruce Export from query window is nice. Saves steps for basic exports.

@Crystal Bruce Awesome feature! Thank you! So much more efficient for staff. Especially, our less experienced users.

@Crystal Bruce - Always happy to find more efficiency. Like that it notifies me when it's completed, allowing me to work on other things.

@Crystal Bruce I love this feature so much! So many fewer steps than the old way. I love the format of the output file and that it is named with the name of the query.

@Crystal Bruce
It saves time and easy to identify the unique records.1 -
@Crystal Bruce Well, since everything is slower in web view, I'm glad I don't have to wait for the query to export before doing other things! ?

@Crystal Bruce
The asynchronous export option does save time (and confusion, for those who aren't used to looking at queries). I normally check a query before I export it, though, so I don't know that I will use it much in the near future. Some of my colleagues might like it, though.0 -
@Crystal Bruce This is pretty cool. ?

@Crystal Bruce
Somehow I'm not able to export my queries from webview. Is this function not ready yet?0 -
@Crystal Bruce Whenever I try to export by clicking on the context button next to the query name on the main query page, I get a message that my export has failed.
0 -
@Crystal Bruce The export is fast and pops up right away, but whenever I export a query in Database, I always use RE EXPORT, so I am not getting various duplicates, especially when it comes to phones, emails, etc. Not sure how this would happen in Web View, but I assume it would create duplicates and the need to use Export.

@Crystal Bruce
Export worked great. I like that it automatically downloads as a csv file.0 -
@Crystal Bruce Can you clarify for me, re “use asynchronous export via the Context Menu” - I use the export function from the list of queries using the ellipses, or, click export within the query itself. Your phrasing makes me feel like I'm missing a piece?
0 -
@Crystal Bruce It's a nice feature for efficiency. I don't output from query very often but I hope I remember this when I do.

@Crystal Bruce The export process in NXT is a lot quicker than the database view. I love the option to remove duplicates before exporting.
