@Crystal Bruce, we used opportunities for our capital campaign, but we haven't fully deployed them for our annual giving programs. While it's relatively straightforward to link a gift to an opportunity, I don't think the development staff will do this on a regular basis at this time.

@Crystal Bruce I linked to a new opportunity to see how this processed worked. We currently link gifts to opportunities so this is great news that we will be able to continue to use this function.

@Crystal Bruce we use RE to manage our grants, so it is great to be able to link gifts to opportunities (aka grants).

@Crystal Bruce It worked ok. I would like to auto distribute the amount. I tried to add it to another constituent and split the gift. You can't view both gifts at the same time. I don't want to have to toggle back and forth. I like the total at the bottom and the warning when you go over.

What I'd like is to be able to be prompted when entering a gift that their is an opportunity for the fund that I'm entering a gift for much like in database view. It would also be cool if you got a report at the end of the day letting you know who made gifts that could be applied to opportunities and allow you to easily apply them. Pretty sure someone has automated this. Should be built in.

I would also like to link the opportunity to a gift from the opportunity.
