To save you time and to help your donors track their charitable giving, you can now email receipts for individual gifts or for a collection of gifts that fall within a selected date range. One time gifts, recurring gift payments, and pledge payments are all eligible for receipts.

From Fundraising, Gift receipting, you can view all gifts awaiting a receipt under Not receipted. To send receipts for them, select one or more from the list and select Email receipts. For more information, see Gift Receipting.

• Under Receipted, you can review the gifts that have already been receipted, and resend receipts if needed or requested by the donor.

• Under Email tasks, you can review the email receipts that you've already sent out, and check for email failures. For more information, see Gift Receipting Email Tasks.

• Under Receipt templates, you can view and create custom email templates to ensure that your gift receipts match your organization's tone and branding. For more information, see Receipt Templates.

  

From Fundraising, Giving statements, you can send constituents a statement for all the gifts they've donated within a selected date range. Search for an existing constituent list, select a date range, and then select Apply filters. Or to create a new list, select Cancel, Build a new list, and then create a new list with all the filters you want. To send the giving statements, select one or more constituents, and select Email receipts. For more information, see Giving Statements.

Note: You can review any giving statements that you've already sent to a constituent on their constituent record under Giving statements.

Tip: Admins! To allow users to generate receipts and giving statements, add them to a fundraising role with permission to manage receipts in Control panel, Security. For more information, see Security.

Generate PDFs for giving statements (now generally available in the US)


You can now generate PDFs for your constituent’s yearly giving statements, which you can print and mail as physical copies.

Tip: Send the printed consolidated receipt in a #9 double window envelope to ensure that your organization's name and address appears in the top window and the constituent's name and address appears in the bottom window.

Under Fundraising, Giving statements, select one or more constituent, then select Generate PDF receipts. From PDF tasks, you can monitor the status of the PDFs, and download the ZIP file once the PDFs have been generated. Larger files may take a few minutes to generate. You can customize certain aspects of the PDF statement's message to personally thank the constituent for giving or to provide specific contact information if they have questions about their statement. From Giving statements, select Giving statement settings . Select PDF and enter your desired statement name and message. For more information, see Giving Statements Settings.
