What's New In Raiser's Edge NXT - March 8th

This week, Raiser's Edge NXT introduces an enhancement to constituent lists.Filter constituents by primary employment

In response to Community feedback, you can now filter by primary employment information under Lists, Constituents. To narrow results by employer, industry, position, or profession, select Filter bb-filter.png, Primary employment under Constituent basics. Then above the list, select Primary employment and the additional criteria to use as filters.

Note: You can filter by employers that have constituent or non-constituent records in your database.

You can also select Columns, Primary employment to show the values of the employment fields in the list or to include them in an export.

Note: In the database view, you can manage employment information from the Relationships tab of a constituent’s record. In the web view, when you create a relationship between an organization and a constituent, you can indicate that the organization is the individual’s primary employment. For more information, see Relationships.

“Industry” is a field on the main tab of an Organization relationship of a constituent. It can also be found on the Bio2 tab of the Organization record itself. (I'm not sure it is available to view in webview.) This field, like the others, is only useful if you have already been entering information in those fields.
