Blackbaud's Education management products offer a number of important integrations, but did you know that it also has a bunch of Microsoft and Google related options?While the Blackbaud Education management products are already feature rich, we also open up even more possibilities and functionality through the use of third party integrations. BBEM works with a number of different third party technology and companies like Standard Application Online, learning tools like TurnItIn, and other applications.

Blackbaud even offers its own Integration solutions to connect with other products outside of Education management. Users have plenty of options including Connect Raiser’s Edge, Connect Education Edge, SDK, Single Sign On connectors, and much more.

However, some of our more popular and numerous integrations are with Microsoft and Google. If you want more information on any of them, make sure to click the link which will take you directly to the help page.

Here are all of the ways Blackbaud’s Education management products integrates with Google and Microsoft.

Google Integrations
  • Google Analytics – Free web analytics for a front-end website which tracks page views. This is included automatically with any front-end website managed through Blackbaud’s Education management products. In order to get started, you’ll need to first sign up for Google Analytics through them, then take that information and add the information into the School website product.
  • Google Apps Education Edition – Customizable tools that enable faculty, staff, and students to work together, communicate, and learn more effectively. Apps include Gmail, Docs, Sites, and much more. Click the link for more information on each of the apps and how to set them up effectively.
  • Google Drive for Students – Schools can use Google Drive to provide a way for students to submit files through the Drop Box for assignments. Schools will need o first create a Google Project to manage the authentication process then enable in Core before it can be used.
  • Google Suite Connector – A native connector using Google’s API to improve the Blackbaud Education management user experience when using Google G Suite as an identity provider. This replaces the previous SAML 2.0 connector. This switch was made for a number of reasons include ease of use, improved user experience, and more.
Microsoft Integrations
  • OneRoster – OneRoster is a standard set of REST APIs which enable schools to securely and reliably exchange information about rosters and assignment grades between multiple web services. Through it, schools can automatically update third party tools that require roster data. This includes tools like learning management systems (LMS), online curriculum, and textbook providers.


    Why is this important? For one, it eliminates the need for manually exporting and importing data files to keep multiple versions in sync. Therefore, it also reduces the human error factor.
