Get The Ball Rolling

Way back in my deep, dark past, I was on a bowling league. I actually had only gone candlepin bowling when I was a kid, so duckpin was a new thing to me. I was NOT GOOD when I started. Lots of gutter balls. Lots of foul language as the “heavy” ball would drop out of my hands before I could get it down the lane. But, after I got the hang of it, the momentum built and I was getting strike after strike after strike (a Turkey, if you’re a bowler … 3 strikes in a row).

Maybe your policies and procedures guide is like my bowling career. Is this you? You attended the new Blackbaud University course, Financial Edge NXT: Feature Focus - Defining Your Payables Process and started thinking about your policies and procedures guide. You might have taken it a step further and started discussing or updating your guide. You’ve built some momentum!
Since you’ve started the proverbial ball rolling, you can keep building momentum by attending Blackbaud U’s newest session, Financial Edge NXT: Feature Focus - Defining Your General Ledger Process. That momentum you’ve got because of the first session’s peer discussions and thought-provoking tips can continue to build by turning the focus to General Ledger. Similar conversations, such as who should approve and adjust entries in General Ledger, will set up what you need for a policies and procedures guide that makes the 7-10 split shot!

Both classes will help you build the momentum for creating and managing your policies and procedures so get the ball rolling—and you’ll be throwing it down the center of the lane!

Great news! This class is included with your Learn More and Learn Everything subscription. Not a subscriber? Chat with us now to find out how you can be!

  • Thanks for posting this. We have a pretty comprehensive policy and procedure manual but I am always open to new ideas.

Right, Beth! And, it's always a good idea to keep the manual as current as possible! Always glad to hear what is helpful. ?
