What's New In Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT® — August 5, 2025
Here are the latest changes in Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT for August 5, 2025.
- Canadian Direct Debit is now available! (for Canada)
- Enhancements to consent in web view
- Manage communications from Communications overview
- Encourage recurring support on Optimized Donation Forms
- Access query options directly from the query menu
- New outcome metrics available in Prospect Insights Pro (for some of you)
Canadian Direct Debit is now available! (for Canada)
To give donors more ways to give, you can now offer the popular direct debit option on donation forms and when you add a gift in the web view:
- Gift entries — When you add or update a one-time gift, recurring gift, or pledge, a pre-authorized debit (PAD) agreement is created.
- New gifts — Manually send the donor a link to the PAD agreement.
- Amended gifts — An email with the PAD link is sent automatically to the donor.
- The PAD agreement is available on recurring gift and pledge records and for one-time gifts on the payment record. For more information, see Payment information.
- Donation forms — To accept direct debit gifts, enable direct debit under the Payments and fees tab. Donors receive a PAD agreement link via the Thank You page and confirmation email. For more information, see Optimized donation forms and Standardized donation forms.
- Portal — Donors can update recurring gifts paid by direct debit. When donors update the frequency, amount, or account details, a new PAD agreement is sent to them. You can view the agreement on the gift record. For more information, see Get started with portal.
- Automated payment reminders — To remind donors of upcoming direct debit or credit card charges, you can set up automated email reminders. For more information, see Payment reminders.
Enhancements to consent in web view
To help you manage a constituent’s consent history, including which categories of communications and channels they opted in or out of, we’ve made enhancements to the Consent tile on the constituent record, made it easier to opt constituents in and out of consent channels and categories, and added the View consent history option to allow you to view a constituent’s complete history of consent responses.

Manage communications from Communications overview
We’ve introduced Communications, Overview to help you track and manage mass communications with prospects and supporters. From here, you can access:
- Planned communications tile — Use the information on the Planned communications tile to quickly assess any upcoming communications, date of communication, as well as its channel, source, amount of recipients, and status.
- Appeal tracker tile — Use the information on the Appeal tracker tile to quickly assess which appeals are generating the most donations and identify areas for potential improvement.
- Constant Contact integration — To help you reach fundraising and marketing goals, connect Raiser's Edge NXT with Constant Contact. For more information, see Constant Contact Integration.

Encourage recurring support on Optimized Donation Forms
To encourage reliable recurring support, you can now make monthly giving the first choice donors see on your Optimized Donation Forms. From Online Giving, Overview, create or edit an Optimized Form. Under Donation, select Default to monthly gift. For more information, see Default to monthly gift.
Access query options directly from the query menu
You can now open the Options tab of the Query Editor directly from a query’s menu. From Analysis, Query, select Edit options from the query’s menu.
Note: Previously, you selected Edit categories to update the query’s category.

New outcome metrics available in Prospect Insights Pro (for some of you)
The following updates are now available for Prospect Insights Pro:
- To help you better understand the impact of your fundraising prospecting efforts, you can now view the cumulative amount given by assigned prospects for each year over the past five years from Analysis, Giving.
- To make it easier to compare the estimated value of your portfolio with the realized value, Portfolio summary is now adjacent to Giving on the Analysis page.

Exciting updates! Has anyone successfully implemented Canadian Direct Debit yet? We just set it up, and the processing seems much smoother than our previous workaround. We saw 20% more money come in the door! What are you seeing in your results? I hope your experience is the same! Did you try this with Basket Random ?
