The Expo Hall is the beating heart of innovation at bbcon! Year after year, participants tell us that the connections and inspiration found here are unmatched. We’ve listened to your feedback and understand how important it is to have dedicated time to explore the Expo Hall without missing out on valuable sessions. That’s why we’ve made it a priority to ensure you have more opportunities to discover the latest solutions, engage with partners and Blackbaud experts, and spark those game-changing conversations that can only happen in this dynamic, energetic space. Plus, let’s not forget—there’s plenty of fun, creativity, and, of course, fantastic swag awaiting you.

Dive in and make the most of every moment! But don’t just take my word for it; take a moment to hear top tips for getting the most out of the bbcon Expo Hall from fellow customers and sponsors.

Prioritize Innovation

The Expo Hall is where energy meets opportunity. With more dedicated time built into the schedule—and new additions like Braindates happening right in the hall—you’ll have space to connect with the people and ideas that matter most.

“It can be super overwhelming and at past bbcons I’ve missed some things because I packed my schedule so full... I suggest setting time aside to visit the expo hall and meet the people you’d like to partner with for your product.”
— Hallie Guiseppe, Alvernia University, Blackbaud Community All-Star

“If there are specific vendors you want to see, make sure you look at who will be there. Plan out who and what you want to see beforehand.”
— Dan Snyder, Bennington College, Blackbaud Community All-Star

Discover What’s Possible

Whether you're exploring booths (don’t forget to stop by the Community & Advocacy booth to say hello!), engaging with partners, or catching a session in the Demo Theater, the Expo Hall is designed to help you uncover new solutions and spark fresh ideas.

“Conversations with Blackbaud partners offer insights into new trends and breakthroughs that can benefit your organization in unexpected ways. Even if you're not looking to invest in another app, it's worth exploring what's possible—you never know what might spark a new idea.”
— Austen Brown, Prenger Solutions, Blackbaud Community All-Star

“We’re all here because we care about making a difference. So don’t be shy—ask us what gets us excited, tell us what challenges you’re facing... Sometimes the best connections start with a simple, ‘Hey, what do you all do?’”
— Justin Goodhew, Trellis Social Enterprise Inc.

Let Curiosity Lead the Way

Some of the most impactful moments come from the conversations you didn’t plan. Stay open, ask questions, and let curiosity guide you—you never know what shortcut or spark you’ll uncover.

“Treat booths like first dates — ask good questions and don’t be afraid to walk away... Some of the best advice comes from the conversations you didn’t plan to have.”
— Shweta Ann Mathew, Almabase

Celebrate Creativity (and Swag!)

From playful booth experiences to interactive engagements, you’ll find space to recharge while soaking in the vibrant spirit of Philly. And yes, there’s fantastic swag to discover along the way. Come for the innovation, stay for the fun.

“I generally go to the Expo Hall when there is an event taking place... It’s great for swag and usually vendors are giving away anything they don’t want to bring back on the plane!”
— Sunshine Reinken-Watson, Barker and Scott, Blackbaud Community All-Star

“If this is your first expo hall, you are more inclined to take more swag... Think wisely about what you take so you don’t end up with too much.”
— Elizabeth Johnson, The Putney School, Blackbaud Community All-Star

“I’ve become an expert at packing swag... Pro tip: try packing your pens in your mugs.”
— Carlene Johnson, Next Level Services, LLC., Blackbaud Community All-Star

Comments

  • I love spending time in the expo hall - not only to see what vendors are out there, but also to network with other BB users! Excited to see more dedicated expo hall time!

  • I would second @Austen Brown's comment above - even if you don't think a product or service is a 'match' for your organization, seeing what is being offered in the market can spark some really interesting discussions!

And the Blackbaud booths are so amazing! Can't wait to see Blackbaud employees and see the cool things users are creating with Power Automate and Power BI this year in the innovation hall. I shared a flow last year and it was one of my favorite parts of bbcon 2024.

  • Glad to hear there will be more time for this! This will only be my second in person BBCON, but I remember learning a lot about available products this way. Looking forward to learning even more this year.

BRING THE BIG SUITCASE! Every year I see people struggling to get all their swag into their tiny carry-on.

  • Last year's vendor hall was invaluable for me! I got to meet my new job's account reps and start learning about their software even before I started the job. To be able to ask stuff right then and there in person made it easier for me to get started in my new position.

  • I enjoy touching base with the vendors, even if I don't use their services. It's always good to have names on hand to reach out to when something comes up!
