Gift Aid allows charities to claim an additional 25% from His Majesty’s Revenue & Customs (HMRC) on eligible donations from UK taxpayers, making every contribution go further.  

With the Gift Aid feature, you can set optional fields for donors to confirm their UK taxpayer status and provide a post-donation declaration. To make this process smoother, our Gift Aid feature also includes:  

• Mailing Address Collection: Necessary to ensure compliance and eligibility.  
• Customisable Declaration Settings: Configure declaration channels and sources from Raiser’s Edge NXT that align with your organisation’s needs.

Consent: Giving Donors Control Over Communication Preferences  

Consent settings are now available on Optimised forms for customers across all regions, including the UK. This reimagined feature empowers nonprofits to manage how they interact with donors, ensuring communications are tailored to individual preferences while meeting privacy requirements.  

Here’s how it works:  

• Customisable options: Organisations can set which Raiser’s Edge NXT categories and channels will display to donors, customize labels, and determine default selections for each included option. 
• Flexible donor experience: The number of consent options configured by your organisation determines how they appear to donors. Whether it’s one simple choice or multiple preferences, donors can easily select what works for them.  
• Consent statement: You can choose to include a customisable consent statement that will be recorded along with the consent selection in Raiser’s Edge NXT.  A consent statement serves as the language used to obtain permission from your donors for specific types of communication, and may be required for specific regions, including the UK, for GDPR purposes.  
• Privacy policy: Also related to privacy regulations, you can choose to include text and a link to your privacy policy.  If included, your privacy policy link will also be recorded on the Raiser’s Edge NXT consent record.

Both Gift Aid and Consent features are fully integrated into Raiser's Edge NXT. For Gift Aid, declarations flow directly to gift batches and will display on the donor record after batch approval.
