PowerUp Challenge: First Standard Reports Task
Over the past few months, we’ve added reports like the Constituent Giving History Report, Top Donors Report, LYBUNT Report, Comparative Report, Adjusted Gift Report, SYBUNT Report, Fund Performance Analysis Report, and Consecutive Years Report. Run one of the newly added Standard Reports and share how you plan to use the data to shape and drive the goals for your year-end campaign.

We are using the Constituent Giving History and Consecutive Years Reports to help prepare for discussion with donors about future giving.

We will use the Consecutive Years Report to focus on donors who have been giving for two consecutive years who have not yet given this year. Our org has a giving society which starts at 3 consecutive years, so this report will give us a targeted list.

We will definitely be using the Top Donors Report to not only determine our ask for our EOYA, but we also send a complimentary gift summary report for the past year to our top 50 donors! We've also been composing a new planned giving campaign and have needed to determine giving history and the consecutive years of giving, so these reports will come in handy!

There are several reports that are now available in webview that I use on a regular basis. Lybunt is a great one for us to quickly see who we need to connect with, our Board Chair really likes this information on a regular basis and the webview version is much easier to give her in a nice format. I also use the top donors report for our Report on Philanthropy and to help in assigning Opportunities to individual donors. Having more reports in webview is really wonderful!

I like the ease of using the comparative report in webview to look at an annual appeal performance in two different years.

We will use the LYBUNT Report to help us identify donors for our year end campaign that gave last year but haven't given this year and give them a special appeal.
1 -
We will use the Top Donors List to keep our best people at the top of our list to steward.

I just spent a half hour setting up 3 test reports and don't see any of this working for us. Our VP requests much more detail than what these reports give and we would have to supplement with an additional (redundant) query/export anyway (IE, Prospect manager, Class year(s), Constituency (Trustee), etc. For a quick list, it seems okay but it's very time consuming to figure out that it won't work well….

I've run a Consecutive Years Report. My org does not tend to use a lot of the reports, though, because of our gift officers and directors needing so much more data. They request a lot of "reports" that are really query lists we create then export with multiple output fields. I appreciate that additional reports are now available in web/unified view and can see where smaller shops especially could utilize these and share them more easily. They just do not work for my org.

The new interactive functionality of the LYBUNT report is fantastic! As we are approaching EOY this will be part of our strategy for identifying who our CEO (acting CAO) will be focusing on recapturing.

Looking at consecutive years report for mailing to recognize their consistent giving.
Wish that there were different options for appeal. Our phonathon is a named appeal each fall and spring. We do not load it onto the appeals tab as it's essentially all alumni so had no option to select those for a filter.

We use consecutive giving & LYBUNT reports for not only everyday use - but often time for Alumni events.

LYBUNT is a great way to identify donors to reach back out to.
1 -
we use the adjusted gift report regularly for finance reconciliations

SYBUNT reporting is ALWAYS the go-to for calendar-year-end asks!

Fund Performance Analysis Will be a helpful report as we just completed a restructure of our Campaign/Funds and having this will help us better analyze our performance and donor interests in the future

We use the LYBUNT and consecutive years reports to reach out to those that gave to our holiday phone-a-thon campaign last year but haven't done so this year.
1 -
We used the adjusted gift report to send to finance on all gift adjusted.

I used the LYBUNT report to highlight the annual givers who have not yet given a gift this year to ensure they are invited to our donor appreciation tea in hopes of encouraging a gift this year.
One feature that would be helpful is being able to sort the output — I don't see a way to do that, so I can't see how the records are sorting (not alphabetically and not by last gift date or gift amount). It seems random, so it's hard to easily go down the list using the PDF version of the report. It will need to be manipulated in Excel in order to sort, which adds a step.

We use the Constituent Giving History Report each year to prepare a year-end report and also the consecutive year report as well. If we can sort the output in other ways (not by surname alphabetically) it will be helpful.

We are looking at segmentation opportunities, and I believe that the consecutive years giving report will come in handy here- especially since, in webview these reports can be viewed in spreadsheets, which would allow for constituent IDs to be copy/pasted into lists and queries to create mail and email communications.

The only difference I see (so far) is a cleaner looking output and more options for changing and adding columns. Otherwise, they're the same reports that I've always had. Like many others, the standard reports do not always have the info I need. In the past, we've used Crystal Reports to customize our own reports and now I'll be joining the Power BI bandwagon to do the same.

The LYBUNT report is always handy, and I will look at the constituents on the consecutive years of giving report and review their PGL scores for solicitation.

We are using constituent reports and consecutive year reports to target end of year giving donors.

Our financial year ends in March, but LYBUNT will be useful for highlighting supporters in our various programmes who have not yet given this year.
0 -
We ran a Top Donors Report to assist us in selecting who to invite to our annual Gathering of Gratitute in celebration our major donors.

I like the LYBUNT Report to identify donors who supported us last year but haven’t yet renewed this year. By focusing outreach on these lapsed supporters, we can personalize our year-end appeals, strengthen donor relationships, and improve our overall retention rate.

We will use the Top Donor Report to support our Stewardship efforts and the consecutive years giving for Planned Giving initiatives as well as for special recognition.
