I have had a basic template saved for some time. Glad they FINALLY added the option to apply a template to an online batch. Previously I created a new batch using my template and moved all of the online gifts to that batch.

I created batches for new pledges, pledge payments, credit cards (we don't use Blackbaud MS yet), checks/cash and a simplified one for our annual day of giving. I like the ability to preselect so much information. It makes data entry so much faster.

I created Batch Templates, but then didn't have the option (at that time) to apply the template to an online batch, or other existing batch. I got used to just "Select All" and running with it! 🤣

I need to be using the Batch Templates more because then the columns will actually be in the order I want them, and not the default order.👍️

I wish I could move my old templates over instead of having to re-create them. Guess that's just me being lazy. I'm almost convinced that I can now start gift batching in NXT :)

Love the ability and options in NXT, for the ability to create multiple batch templates. Makes batches less daunting!

I know that templates aren't migrating from DBV (yet) but really, it's not that hard to open DBV on one screen and recreate the template in 'unified view' (I still hate that terminology) in a matter of minutes. And once you create the template, you are done.

Templates are a fantastic feature and will become integral once full gift entry functionality is available. I created one for online gift batches since that's what I do most in Web View for now. Having the templates ensures consistency for me, and I'm looking forward to creating ones for specific gifts that I get like stock and gifts-in-kind. As soon as I can add in benefits like thank you gifts to a batch, along with stock and GIK, I will probably completely switch over to Web View. Thanks, BB team. You're doing a great job!

I loveeeee the templates - one thing that would be so useful would be able to set multiple default custom fields. At the moment, you can only tell the template "yeah I want custom fields" and then you have to pick the custom field per gift which is arduous when a batch of gifts might all have to have the same two custom fields or two same custom fields and then an additional two that might change depending on gift.

I love having the batch template, I would use this every week. I just hope that there will be a point where I can Globally Add Constituents to the batch, so I don't have to type them each in individually.

It is great to be able to create templates. As others have mentioned, the Custom fields column is very clunky, especially not being able to see the Category or value when in grid view.

Hopefully there will be a way to set default Categories for custom fields in a column? If not, that will be a big issue if we have to click every row and select a category for our direct mail codes during the holiday season.

I do like that we can create templates, but it'd be great if our existing templates in database view could be available so we wouldn't have to recreate. Looking forward to having more fields available.

While I'm annoyed we can't port over existing templates from database view, it was very easy creating new templates in webview. I can't tell you how happy it made me last week when I was working on a Give Campus batch and noticed the option to apply an existing template. It made my life so much easier!

This feature is huge! When the update first launched and I had to manually configure my batch each time, I was so frustrated. It took an already pretty efficient process and made it 10x slower while simultaneously claiming that it would be a streamlined process. Luckily, we have templates now, and I am finally able to see how streamlined grid view batch can be!

From what I have heard, this was a game changer! It was super simple for me (as someone who doesn't process gifts) and wish we could apply templates to some other features in webview - list columns (all types), event participants, so many more.

It's super easy to create and use templates. Waiting on the global changes to batch items (e.g., gift date, acknowledgement letter, etc.)!
