Duplicate report
Is there a way to adjust the fields that flag an account as duplicate? I keep coming across accounts that are duplicates that were flagged and do not show up in my duplicate report. We are going to move to Raisers Edge soon and I would like to clean up my etap accounts as much as possible before the move. Thank you for your help!

@Nancy Robinson, when you say flagged, where are you seeing that if not in the duplicate report?

@Judith Youngblood Hi Judith, yes, these accounts I know are duplicates (same phone, name, address etc) do not show up in the duplicate report or when viewing the account there is no alert of duplicate

@Nancy Robinson Are they the same role? If Jane Doe is a tribute and constituent and/or a user, she will have an account for each with a different account number. The roles will be different, however. This is often overlooked when converting and the merge will have to happen in RE.

Right now I am only actively in etap. I'm trying to clean up all our accounts before we transition into RE0 -
@Judith Youngblood Yes, I am only talking about constituent account to constituent account duplicates. I am wondering if there is a way to to make sure etap is checking the correct fields to find duplicates. It doesn't seem to be picking up on them

@Nancy Robinson, you can't change the algorithm that BB uses for dupe-checking. I wonder if at some point someone clicked “not a duplicate” on two accounts that really should have been merged. Once that's done, they don't show up in the list anymore. Be that as it may, it doesn't help you right now. I hate to do this to you, but you probably need to check with support.
Although if you leave them and let them convert, RE will pick them up fresh in their duplicate check. Merging there is just like merging in eTap.
I'm sorry I don't have a definitive answer for you!
