Reporting to the Sr. Director of Operations and Opportunities, the Donor Database Manager is responsible for the management of Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver’s donor database, RE NXT, and leading data analytics to support the development and implementation of our fundraising strategy. The Donor Database Manager leads and is responsible for the integrity of the donor records management, gift processing, information processing and tracking, and data entry. The Donor Database Manager also leads the monthly reconciliation process with the finance team.
The essential duties for this role include:
Database Management and Reporting
- Be the in-house expert on RE NXT database maintenance and operations, including managing gift processing, tax receipt, setting database policy and integration, and providing training, support, troubleshooting.
- Create queries and exports to build segmented reports and communications, donor recognition lists and high-level reports.
- Manage the integrity of the fundraising database, which includes verification of all data, analytics, and related reporting. Manage all ongoing maintenance, including managing permissions, internal system controls, segregation of duties, and data hygiene activities to enhance and sustain data integrity and health.
- Manage information tracking processes regarding acknowledgement, tribute giving, recognition, on-going communications and continued cultivation of past and current donors to enhance their relationship with BGCMD and increase the likelihood of continued contributions.
- Design and deliver clear and accurate reporting to track revenue and clearly communicate donor activity, forecasting and identification of new opportunities for support.
- Collaborates with finance team on audit requests on accurate and efficient month and year end reconciliation.
- Enters data, pre and post, for any major fundraising initiative.
- Design and produce accurate queries, exports, reports, and lists for mailings, newsletters, event invitations, and moves management in a timely and systematic manner.
- Assist with prospect research.
- All other duties as assigned.
The Database Manager shall have the following skills and knowledge:
- Prior hands-on experience with RE NXT or similar donor database preferred.
- Must be extremely detail-oriented, analytical, collaborative, resourceful, and organized, with the ability to perform independently in a fast-paced team environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer relations skills, including the ability to provide technical support to users of all levels and backgrounds.
- Knowledge and understanding of fundraising, charitable giving, and donor relations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from regionally accredited institution of higher learning or similar educational experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of applicable database experience required.
- Candidates must be able to pass a drug test that includes screening for marijuana, criminal and driving records investigations, and reference checks.
- The successful candidate will primarily work indoors. Accordingly, the ability to use a variety of equipment including janitorial and office equipment is required. The job requires the ability to stand for extended periods, kneel, reach, bend, and lift objects weighing in excess of 25lbs. Outdoor work and moderate physically demanding activities may be required on occasion. The ability to read and write is necessary to complete reports, properly document program, and organizational data.

Status: Full-time, Exempt
Salary Range: $52,500 - $67,500
