State changes between abbrevation and word

For our bulk mailings, we need the state to be exported as the two letter abbreviation. This shows correctly on my computer. However, on the lady's computer that this is her job, it shows as the word (Ohio instead of OH.) The partner relations manager also has it show as the word.

Now, each of us are viewing the same query that has been used for three years, and the same exports. I don't understand why we are viewing the same files differently.

This began happening to them a few months ago and the manager just told me about it today.

Does anyone have any ideas or theories on how to remedy this? TYIA!

    @Dana Burton I know that there's a long and short code for the states and you can choose which you want to see in Export and Mail. Maybe the preferences are different?

    I know that doesn't explain why it may have changed given that this Export has been used for some time, but I hope that you can just switch the format and fix it.
