Zoom Integration for Raiser's Edge

I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a tool that would facilitate Zoom registration information imports into Raiser's Edge. We've had to create a work around for our use case, but I would prefer something more automated and less administratively burdensome. Our use case demands the following:

  • Registration for multi-session events as a series (i.e. register once, register to attend all in the series)
    • A series is set-up as a single event in Raiser's Edge to reduce the number of events listed in our database.
    • We do not need to track attendance for each session, but rather need to know if a constituent who registered attended any sessions in the series at all - this then would require the event record to reflect that a person “attended” (even if one session).
  • We collect further information through Zoom that is translated to attributes in Raiser's Edge, for example:
    • Date of Birth
    • Type of Constituent (patient, caregiver, etc.)
    • Type of Healthcare Professional (if applicable)

I'm sure there are more “requirements” but I know our data needs are already a little more complex. For the sake of keeping this simpler, if anyone knows any tools or plugins that would support the above, suggestions would be appreciated!

From my investigation earlier on, the Zoom tool within RE NXT does not support our needs.

I don't think there is any direct integration from Zoom to RE.

Previously (during lock down), we held many virtual event, which we handled it via Online Express Event registration form, and via the auto-notification email that is received in a certain inbox, we created an automation where we “tracked” the specific piecees of info from ONline Express registration form to send to the zoom via zoom API. We stopped doing it when processing thousands of transaction in Online Express became too troublesome.

Given RE NXT quota limit, the business ultimately decided to simply take the attendee list from Zoom, and load into Luminate Online for future outreach via email only, when these attendee gave donation, they will then end up in RE.

If not creating your own integration using API (within your own team/tech team or use partner), you can consider using Import-O-matic, Importactuar, etc to import into RE. I don't know if Omatic's Omatic Cloud has any more automated integration option or not, but you can reach out to find out.

@Alicia Wrobel welcome to the BB Community forums.

We have monthly zoom virtual events with the university where we receive csv list of those who registered/attended. I don't know if your attendees are already in your db but this might help if they are.

As most of our registrants are in our db, I take the email used to register and create a constituent query with phone number one of and paste in the list of emails. We then can do a global add of ‘registrants for an event’ with needed details. We do have to double check query results against names on the reg list but it does save us a lot of time.

I know it doesn't address all your needs but maybe it will spark a work-around for you.

@Alicia Wrobel Are you using the RE Import tool or a third party option (such as Importomatic, Importacular, SmartTHING, etc.)?
